The 10 commandments of SEO

I.    Thou shalt have many visitor streams, not relying solely on one Goog.
II.   Thou shalt not produce thin sites, build libraries and graven images of content.
III.  Thou shalt not advertise in vein, too many ads above the fold = bad user experiences = purgatory.
IV.   Never rest, achieving greatness is a marathon and just because you're #1 now doesn't mean you deserve it.
V.    Respect age and authority, else your ranking aspirations shall falter.
VI.   Thou shalt not kill backlinks, removing backlinks is the heart of negative seo ... why self inflict?
VII.  Be an e-tramp.   Join multiple communities and interconnect with other members spreading your brand.
VIII. Steal backlink sources from your competition.  A great way to learn is to study and replicate the best in the business.
IX.   Google knows what your site is about, overly SEOing it (on & off page) will only get your site penguin'd
X.    Coveting the rankings above you is the path to greatness but understanding why they're ahead of you is true enlightenment.
